It was established in November, 2016 by energetic advocates for integrated social and educational development of vulnerable adolescents and youth, including rights for livelihood enhancement of poor families in the community.

NBCDC has an objective of implementing a need-based educational and social development project having a critical and higher impact on the socio-economic development of marginalized young girls, and youth in poor communities of Addis Ababa.

It is initiated due to the existing low educational competence and performance of students, particularly among those, enrolled in the local public schools, both at the primary and secondary levels. NBCDC closely works with the local government, development partners, schools, and all relevant stakeholders, so as to ensure the existence of collective effort toward the attainment of project objectives.
