About Us

Empowerment through Expertise.

Established in November 2016, the New Bright Community Development Center is a beacon of hope in our community. Founded by a group of passionate advocates, our center is dedicated to fostering integrated social and educational development for vulnerable adolescents and youth. Our unwavering commitment also extends to empowering and enhancing the livelihoods of underprivileged families within our community.

New Bright Community Development Center (NBCDC) is a legally registered civil society organization in Ethiopia, with registration number 3725 as an Ethiopian Resident Charity Organization by the F.D.R.E. Authority of Civil Society Organization (ACSO).

Our Objective

NBCDC aims to implement a targeted, impactful educational and social development project for marginalized young girls and youth in impoverished communities of Addis Ababa, fostering critical socio-economic development.

To see a self-confident, self-reliant, and empowered society in Ethiopia.

Our Mission

Create educational and economic opportunities for vulnerable youth and families, so as to bring about positive and sustained social development, at the community and household levels.


To ensure that vulnerable community members develop higher self-esteem, and motivation, and become productive citizens.

Major Achievements.

Graduated from Universities and Colleges, and are now able to Gain Job Opportunities.
Adolescents and Youth from the Community and Local Schools are trained in Basic Computer Literacy and English Language.
Students provided with Regular After School Tutorial Services, Study and Social Skills, and Exam Anxiety Management Training
Talented Young People and Youth from the Community are trained in Painting and showcased their Work in Annual Public Art Exhibitions
School Girls are provided with Monthly Sanitary Pads and Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Orientation.
Reference Books and Educational Materials are donated to Local Primary Schools.
Sensitized and trained on motivational and self-development skills, including gender equality, Entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
Women with no regular income, trained in basic business skills, and provided with business start-ups empowered socially and economically.
